Biokinetics: 2nd Artistic Action in Milan 20-23 October 2025

20 to 23 October 2025, DanceHaus Milan
Under the artistic direction of Jiorgos Christakis

From October 20th to 23rd, at DanceHaus Milan, the Biokinetics: Divergent Paths in Performing Arts workshop took place, an initiative supported by the Creative Europe program that brings together contemporary dance, inclusion, and artistic research.

Four intense days of training, exchange, and experimentation involved artists from Italy, Portugal, and Greece โ€” with and without disabilities โ€” in a deep dialogue about the body, movement, and connection.
Through practical exercises, improvisation, and moments of shared reflection, participants explored how dance can become a universal language, capable of overcoming differences and creating genuine connections.

The workshop represented a key milestone in the creation of the Biokinetics performance, born from the encounter between different artistic sensibilities and the shared goal of valuing the uniqueness of each individual.

The Milan meeting confirmed the strength of the collaboration among partners:
DAGIPOLI DANCE Co (Greece), VoArte (Portugal), Fondazione Mantovani Castorina Onlus (Italy), and En Drasei (Greece).

Biokinetics continues its journey across Europe, promoting a vision of dance as an accessible, inclusive, and transformative art, where every body becomes a protagonist โ€” a bearer of language, rhythm, and presence.

A special thanks to all the artists and trainers who, with passion and dedication, made these days a moment of shared growth and inspiration.

A Creative Europe Project

Next stop: Lisbon!
The upcoming stage of the project will bring partners and artists together in Portugal to continue the research and creation of the performance, furthering the dialogue between dance, inclusion, and artistic innovation.
