About Biokinetics
“Biokinetics” is a European performing arts project funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe program. It aims to explore, inspire, and provide further educational opportunities for performers with physical and sensory disabilities by creating a strong collaborative network among co-organizers and associated partners. This initiative seeks to further develop performers’ artistic skills and encourage their active participation. Drawing from the principles of mechanics in biological systems, particularly the motor system of the human body, “Biokinetics” explores the artistic potential of movements involving artificial limbs.
This fusion of biomechanics and creativity generates unique and captivating performances that challenge the boundaries of conventional art.
Using this innovative approach as a springboard for further research and exploration, the project encompasses a variety of activities in Greece, Italy, and Portugal.
